just came back from church.
before i get myself into mugging LIKE AGAIN. oh well.. just want to share something that i learnt today.
it is about baggages we carry with us
emotional baggages such as baggage of unforgiveness, baggage of rejection and neglect, baggage of hostility.
carrying such baggages does not do us good.
some of us may appear happy on the surface but deep down, are we carrying such baggages that makes us tired and prevent us from being truely happy?
Emotional Baggage:
*When we check in our luggages at the airport and found the luggage to be over the limit, we have to pay extra charges. In the same way, when we carry excess baggages with us, there is a price to pay.What can we do to help us dump these baggages that are weighing us?
1) Get Beyond Our Past
-recognising the emotional baggage in us
-realise how it is affecting us
-deal/address the problem
-talk to someone
-eventually, coming terms with it
2) Get Hold of Our Present
-accepting the fact that we cannot change the past
-renewing our mind
"You are today where your thoughts brought you.
You will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you."
3) Get on with Your Future
"Who controls the past,
controls the future.
Who controls the present controls the past."
As a summary, it is all about our mindset.
Whether or not we choose to be happy or sad.
Only when we learn to let go of these baggages, will we truely be a happy person.
okay, it's time to hit the books again.
